Moving Rooms

Moving rooms

After selecting a room or rooms, hold down on the left mouse button and move your mouse to move the selected rooms to a new position. When you let go of the left mouse button, the room will "drop" wherever the cursor is at that time. While you are dragging the room, the cursor changes to a four-headed arrow.

Also, the keyboard arrow keys may be used to move a room or rooms after selecting them. The distance of movement per key press is based upon the Minor Grid unit for larger steps (see User Settings - Drawing <update link>). If the SHIFT key is pressed at the same moment as the arrow key, the Snap Unit is used which allows smaller steps per keyboard arrow click which allows more controlled movement.

This example would allow the room movement of 1 foot for each arrow key press. If the SHIFT key is pressed and held down while also pressing the arrow key, each press of the arrow key would move the room only 1 inch per arrow key press.
